IYSO has signed a memorandum of understanding with the International Organization for Migration (IOM). This agreement comes within the framework of enhancing cooperation and joint coordination between the two organizations, in order to deepen the existing partnership and inform each party of its responsibilities towards the other .
The memorandum of understanding has included many points, such as, strengthening the cooperation and coordination in all areas of common interest to the benefit of the two organizations, as well as the agreement between the two parties to coordinate efforts to implement humanitarian response activities , provide humanitarian assistance, early recovery activities and protection activities for displaced people, promote human rights, and the coordination of emergency activities and early recovery activities to the maximum extent possible.
This agreement has also included the exchange of information that serve the common interests of the two parties, especially with regard to the implementation of activities and projects financed by IOM as well as the nomination of IYSO representatives to train them from (IOM) in the areas needed by IYSO and to exchange consultations between the two organizations, especially with regard to displaced persons and shelter materials.
The agreement is signed by the International Organization for Migration (IOM), Mr. Laurent de Boeck, Head of Mission in Yemen, and IYSO Yemen signed by the Executive Director of the Organization ,Mr. Ayoob Al kasmi.
