The IYSO has been concluded “Youth Leadership in Conflict” training program in Taiz city as part of the youth leadership project, supported by the National Endowment for Democracy (NED).
The aim of the program is to enhancing youth leadership in the context of the conflict for 24 trainees from youth leaders in Taiz city who have aspirations and desire to positively influence in their community and have the lead in leadership and community service.
The program is the first of its kind in Taiz, where the program focused on developing the knowledge of youth and enhancing their leadership abilities in the political, social and economic, and enable them to analyze the current situation in their community and select priority issues related to the needs of community
The youth will work on address these issues and to communicate the voices of citizens to the concerned sides in government institutions.
It is worth mentioning that the plans of youth initiatives have identified the issues of health, cleaning and water. These plans include collecting information about the specific problems and then holding workshops with the concerned parties. At the conclusion of the project, the results will be presented in the presence of officials and representatives of political parties, civil society organizations.
