Within the framework the monthly dialogue of Improve your society organization IYSO with the Presidents of the Security Council UNSC and within the program of international advocacy for peace in Yemen
the IYSO representative Ms. Shaima Bakhshwin discusses in her interventions with the President of the Security Council the developments of the situation in Yemen and presents many questions that centered on the aggravation of Yemeni suffering as a result of the war, which negatively affected the lives of the population from all sides,
She also inquired about the priority of the Yemeni file in the Security Council, especially in light of the increase in the intensity of violent fighting in the governorates of Ma’rib and Shabwa, which is still continuing until this moment, and asked about the developments of the Security Council regarding these recent developments that will affect the peace process endeavors?
With regard to changing more than one UN envoy to Yemen without achieving results, the representative of IYSO wondered whether this would weaken the role of the United Nations in its ability to play a more positive and effective mediation role in achieving a comprehensive political settlement in Yemen.
