The United Nations has given IYSO special accreditation to participate as an observer in the Fifth United Nations Conference on the Least Developed Countries (LDC5) to be held from 23 to 27 January 2022 in Doha, Qatar to help build an ambitious new program of work for the least developed countries, the conference will take place at a critical time As the final decade of work for the 2030 Agenda gathers momentum as the Istanbul Program of Action (IPoA) signed in 2011 approaches, the Fifth United Nations Conference on Least Developed Countries (LDC5) will bring together leaders at the highest levels, including Heads of State and Government. Comprehensive assessment of the implementation of the International Plan of Action, mobilization of additional international support measures and actions for the benefit of the least developed countries; And agreement on a renewed partnership between the least developed countries and their development partners to overcome structural challenges, eradicate poverty, achieve internationally agreed development goals, and enable graduation from the category of least developed countries.
