The Social Accountability Forum SAF is a youth initiative that emerged from the Social Accountability Forum project implemented by IYSO in December 2020.
The initiative in general aims to enhance youth participation in social accountability and advocate for improving public services.
The initiative was established on December 24, 2020.
The forum works through the vision of (institutions without corruption )
The forum’s mission is (to mobilize community efforts to create partnership and effective cooperation between citizens and public institutions and to promote the concept of social accountability to achieve better service and to ensure that institutions work in accordance with the public interest).
The Forum works through an approach that focuses on accountability for the performance of government institutions, advocating for basic needs issues, and putting pressure on decision-makers to carry out the required reforms that respond to improving the quality of public services provided to citizens.
The forum aims to raise awareness of the concepts of social accountability, promote good governance in public service institutions, build youth capacities and enable them to participate in advocating for improving public services.
The forum also aims to enhance cooperation and networking between relevant actors and service providers in local authorities and mobilize community efforts to support reform efforts in service institutions.
