The “Youth Leaders Peace ” is one of the important projects that has a tangible impact and positive results at the level of youth and at the level of the target community.

The Improve Your Society Organization (IYSO) implemented this project with funding from saferworld (Yemeni Civil Society Solidarity Fund) with the aim of building the capacities of youth and emerging initiatives youth and enabling them to work on peace building and conflict resolution in their local communities in Al-Shamayatain district – Taiz Governorate.

The project included a training program for youth from 10 emerging initiatives, then the trainees worked on conducting a field survey to determine community needs related to conflicts, and then implemented 15 small projects that contributed to meeting community needs, resolving existing conflicts and enhancing social cohesion among members of the target communities for the project.

The most important achievements of the project,

• 15 emerging youth initiatives that were qualified and empowered in civil work in the field of peacebuilding.
• Youth people were able to implement 15 small projects in their local communities that contributed to resolving community conflicts.
• Launching the Al-Shamayatain Initiatives Forum for Peace.
