Considering that sport is the most powerful means that works to consolidate social , establish an atmosphere of love and tolerance and create friendships between youth without social discrimination, the Improve Your society Organization IYSO  implemented the “Project Communication among Youth through Sport” funded by the German Federal Ministry for Cooperation Economic and development (BMZ) and the European Union (EU), in coordination with the Youth and Sports Office in Taiz city .

The project included several activities such as:

A workshop was held on “The Role of Sports in Promoting Coexistence and Peace among Youth, which targeted 48 young sports leaders (coaches, football and chess referees, sports supervisors and leaders of sports teams in the districts of (Al-Mudaffar, Alqahera and Sallah).

– Organizing sports competitions in chess targeting 72 girls from the three districts in Tai city , these competitions aim to enhance positive communication between girls by creating channels of communication, consolidating the concepts of peaceful coexistence, spreading the values ​​of love and peace in society and reviving sports in Taiz city , these competitions included the presentation of educational messages on the concepts of coexistence and peace, supported by awareness flashes.

Also the IYSO Organizing football sports competitions for 120 youth  from 12 neighborhoods in the districts of (Al-Mudaffar, Alqahera and Sallah) that were affected by the conflicts.

These competitions were concluded with a carnival festival under the slogan” Sports is Love and Peace”
