The executive director of cleaning fund , Mr.Sadiq Al-Taweel, attended the first community accountability session on the Cleaning problem in Taiz city , which was organized by the Improve Your society Organization IYSO with the participation of a number of citizens within the framework of the Public Services Accountability Project.
During the event, the organization’s public services monitoring team reviewed a brief report that included a set of issues related to the Clean and improvement fund services in light of the results of a survey targeting recipients and service providers in the districts of Mudhaffar, Al qahera and Sallh.
The executive director provided comprehensive explanations and information about everything mentioned in the report and briefed the citizens on the achievements made in the field of Clean during his tenure as managing the fund, in addition to his review of the challenges that the cleaning Fund still faces even now.
A number of issues were also raised during the interventions by the participants who were able to express their opinions and communicate their questions about the Clean problem in Taiz, especially those related to revenues, expenses and the total number of actual workers in the field, in addition to discussing the issue of the spread of stray dogs in residential neighborhoods, including a area of garbage at the entrance to Al-Masbah Street and the phenomenon of littering on the islands of Jamal Street, and residential neighborhoods that are not connected to cleaning services,
The session came out with a set of recommendations that IYSO will present later and include in the follow-up plan that the public services monitoring team and the advocacy committees for improving public services in the Clean sector are working on in the districts of Mudhaffar, Al qahera and Sallh.
